About the Publisher, M. Dean Kincaid

Dean Kincaid, D.M.A., A.A.G.O., began piano study with Augusta Gentsch of Spokane, Washington, continuing with Linda Pole of Simpson Bible Institute, Seattle. After earning a Bachelors degree in organ with a minor in piano, he founded and directed the Kincaid School of Music in Spokane.

Finding need for further study, he enrolled at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, Illinois, where he earned a doctorate in organ performance and a Masters degree in music theory. During this time he taught full time at Moody Bible Institute, where he was an instructor in piano, organ, music theory, and church music. During his doctoral studies he taught at the American Conservatory, where he was professor of organ, church music, and theory, eventually becoming Dean of Faculty and Chairman of the Theory and Composition Department. He has also served as Professor of Church Music at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Kincaid served for five years on the Board of the Chicago Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, followed by two years as Dean of the chapter. He has also served churches of various denominations as organist and choir director for over 40 years. He is the composer of the Christmas cantata, "The Good News of Christmas" and has written many piano arrangements of hymns as well as other functional church music.
